Mark King is a seasoned senior financial executive with more than 28 years of experience in accounting, finance, administration and operations. Mark is an expert in strategic planning, sales of business, due diligence, board presentations and bank loan negotiations. He has strong experience in leading companies through change including growth, restructuring and succession management.
Mark has advised distressed companies as a Senior Consultant and interim CFO in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, banking, healthcare, non-for-profit, service, military contracting and the performing arts.
In a previous role, Mark led a team that purchased a manufacturer of surge protection equipment from a public company. Serving as the Vice President of Finance for the newly purchased company, Mark was instrumental in establishing its organizational structure and grew the business to the point where it was sold to a UK public company for significant gain.
In another role, Mark served as the CFO of a manufacturer of solar control window film products. During his tenure, Mark oversaw accounting and IT functions and developed a corporate structure to accommodate rapid growth. Mark also served as the VP of Finance of a boat sales and service organization, managing all of its financial activities. Mark achieved significance cost reductions while maintaining gross margins and helped to reduce boat inventory from $10 million to $4 million in his two year tenure.
As a Senior Audit Manager for a leading accounting firm, Mark managed all aspects of audit engagements, including the audits of one of the firm's largest clients (a multi-billion dollar organization) and the audit of a government-owned, contractor and operator of nuclear weapon components.
Mark graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of South Florida with a BA in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs.
