Mark Kaplan works with West Coast clients to promote increased knowledge of Taconic products and services. Taconic is a leader in many strains of non transgenic and well as transgenic mice and rats. Mark will assist companies in organizing breeding transgenic and mutant mice and rats, as well as assisting with special research projects or monoclonal antibody production performed by Taconic. With Taconic's acquisition of An-Med Biosafe, Inc. we offer biotechnical safety testing and animal health evaluation services. Mark has worked in the Laboratory Animal environment for over twenty years. He started as an animal caretaker and in the mid 1980's was the Contract Deputy Project Manager for the Vivarium at the NASA Ames Research Center. At Ames Mark had the privilege of getting to know Taconic and its excellent reputation. He started his own company K.L.A.S.S. in 1989 dedicated to the well being of laboratory animals by supplying quality products and services. Mark has been associated with Taconic as a representative since 1993. Mark has an MBA in Business and is a LAT. He is a promoter of education and has worked within the local Northern California Branch AALAS to provide inexpensive education with the Laboratory Animal Community. Mark likes ecotourism, ocean kayaking, hiking and learning about cultures through out the world. |
