Dr. Mark Jacobs serves as the Site Director of the Eisenhower Urgent Care at Rancho Mirage in Rancho Mirage, California beginning April 15, 2007. Dr. Jacobs has been with EPMG since April 2005. Dr. Jacobs completed his undergraduate studies at Fordham University in Bronx, New York where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He earned his medical degree from the National University of Athens School of Medicine in Athens, Greece. Dr. Jacobs completed a Family Practice Residency at the Naval Aerospace & Regional Medical Center in Pensacola, Florida where he served as Chief Resident. He retired from the US Navy in 1987 with the rank of Captain after serving for a total of 27 years as a Hospital Corpsman, Pharmacy Officer and Medical Officer. His last assignment was at the Pentagon as the Assistant for Graduate Medical Education on the staff of the Surgeon General of the Navy, Vice Admiral Seaton. In the same time period, he received an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor on the faculty of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, School of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Jacobs is board certified in Family Practice. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine. |
