Mr. Hovde has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and business development for pharmaceutical software data and services companies. Prior to joining Pharsight Mr. Hovde was the President and founder of Hovde Associates LLC a management consulting firm specializing in counsel on pharmaceutical development. Prior to this he was the Vice President Sales and Business Development at Fast Track Systems Inc. a developer of software focused on improving the protocol quality and the speed of the clinical trial process. While at Fast Track Mr. Hovde was responsible for the formation and management of the company’s sales and marketing organizations and successfully created a unique consulting services program which was offered to the company’s major accounts. Mr. Hovde was also the co-founder of DataEdge LLC a developer of novel informatics that help reduce the time and cost of clinical trials. At DataEdge pioneered the PICAS and CROCAS databases leading clinical cost benchmarking tools which improved trial cost control. Today PICAS and CROCAS are used to benchmark over 50% of worldwide investigator CRO and central lab spending. Mr. Hovde has authored several publications and presentations and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he was also named a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
