Mr. Mark Holmes has had a distinguished 25 year career in supporting the Retail industry. Covering the last 20 years, Mr. Holmes served in several executive roles within the NCR Company. Over the last six years, Mr. Holmes directed one of the divisions within NCR responsible for the deployment of large complex systems to retailers. Most recently, Mr. Holmes had overall responsibility for the largest sustained deployment of retail Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for NCR, featuring the deployment of over 35,000 terminals across 8,500 locations, for the United States Postal Service (USPS). Other large system deployment projects Mr. Holmes directed include the USPS STORES deployment, Navy Exchange Service POS rollout, Navy’s ATMs at SEA ATM rollout, and Defense Commissary Agency POS rollout. The last two projects were worldwide in scope. In addition to managing large deployments and deployment teams, Mr. Holmes established NCR’s National Deployment Command Center to provide help desk style support and tracking for large rollouts. Mr. Holmes’s experience also includes managing systems engineering organizations responsible for software development, systems integration, and remote systems support activity. Mr. Mark Holmes graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and has an Associates of Arts degree in Computer Science from Montgomery College. |
