As Chief Software Officer, Mark is responsible for the design and direction of LeftHand Networks' virtualization and distributed systems software technologies. Mark founded North Fork Networks, a provider of next-generation storage management software. North Fork was acquired by LeftHand in 2002 and its SAN/iQ technology now provides the foundation of LeftHand's software. Mark earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell's Distributed Systems Research Group. After his graduate work, he served as a scientist at the Digital Systems Research Center (DEC SRC). Mark's area of expertise is distributed systems and fault-tolerant computing technologies. He has published numerous articles and patents in the area. |
