Mark Hale was named senior vice president of technology operations for the company in August 2006. He oversees the Scripps information technology group which provides strategic technological support for all of the company’s national and local media businesses.
Concurrently, Hale serves as executive vice president of operations for the Scripps Networks. In this position he oversees the division’s content development unit Scripps Productions and is responsible for all broadcast and production technical operations, IT, property development and facilities management of the Scripps Networks offices and technology center.
Hale has over 20 years experience developing and overseeing media related organizations and supporting technologies. He was a member of the original Scripps management team that oversaw the launch of HGTV. He recently orchestrated the company’s launch of its two newest networks: HGTV-HD and Food Network-HD. Prior to joining Scripps in 1994, he held operational executive positions with E! Entertainment Television and the Movietime cable television network. |
