Mark Ferrari currently serves as managing director and chief operations officer for Devonshire Investors, the private equity investment arm of Fidelity Investments. In this role, Mark oversees finance, business planning strategy, information technology, service delivery and legal support for Devonshire’s diverse portfolio of businesses. He is also responsible for supervision of The Seaport Companies and, integrated communications provider, MetroRED.
Mark has been with Fidelity since May 2000, serving in a number of roles within the private equity area. Previously, he was chief financial officer of Devonshire Investors, Fidelity Investors Management Corp., the FIML Natural Resources, LLC which invests mainly in the exploration and development of oil and gas resources, and Pembroke Real Estate Inc., a full-service real estate investment and development company specializing in the acquisition, design, development and management of high quality, high profile projects in the U.S. and overseas. Prior to that, Mark served as vice president, finance with Fidelity Broadband Group, which concentrates on operationally oriented investment management of high-bandwidth data, internet, and voice communication companies on a global basis.
Before joining Fidelity, Mark was vice president of finance at Kronos Incorporated, a public software development and distribution company in the labor management space. Mark began his professional career at Ernst & Young, a major public accounting firm, where he spent 13 years in the audit practice serving primarily public, multi-national high technology companies.
Mark received a B.S., Magna Cum Laude, in accounting from Boston College in 1979. |
