Mark Cranney brings 17 years of sales and senior sales management experience to his role as EVP of Worldwide Field Operations for Opsware Inc. Previously, Cranney served as Senior Division Vice President-Americas at Parametric Technology Corp (PTC), a leading provider of product life-cycle management enterprise software and consulting solutions. In this role, he led a 300-person team of sales representatives, application engineers, and presales consultants with $270 million in revenue. In his previous role at PTC as Division Vice President of North America major accounts, Cranney led a 200-person team that dramatically increased PTC’s market share and grew software and consulting sales from $69 million to $115 million over two years.
Prior to joining PTC, Cranney was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at DxU, where he started a direct sales force and grew sales from $1 million to $12 million over a two-year period. He was also a national sales manager for C.R. Bard, Inc. (NYSE: BCR), a $1.3 billion medical device manufacturer. Cranney started his career in sales by working for Lanier Worldwide as a sales representative and district sales manager.
Cranney holds a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from Southern Utah University, where he excelled as a student-athlete, having been a four-year starter and co-captain of the football team. |
