Cousino is president of DTE Biomass Energy, Inc., a subsidiary of DTE Energy. DTE Biomass Energy develops, owns and operates landfill gas recovery systems throughout the United States. Cousino leads a team of 85 employees and contractors and is responsible for managing over $90 million in assets safely, reliably and profitably. Cousino joined DTE Energy when MCN Energy merged with the company in 2001. Prior to his current role, he held several positions within DTE Energy Services, a DTE Energy subsidiary that develops, owns, builds and operates energy projects for industrial, commercial and institutional customers and power generation facilities. Along with serving as director of business development, Cousino also oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company.s successful Section 29 synthetic fuel business unit. Cousino was previously employed with Conoco Inc. for 10 years where he held both domestic and overseas engineering, operations and business development assignments. Cousino earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan. |
