Mark Brown has a passion about working with computers. As Rhythm & Hues Studios' vice president of technology, Mark works directly with software and hardware manufacturers to constantly refine the tools used by the studio's artists. He oversees all company computer systems and directs the research and development of production software and infrastructure. The dazzling effects in the studio's productions such as "Harry Potter," "Scooby Doo" and "The Sum of All Fears" demonstrate Mark's ability to engineer technological systems that serve the creative vision of some of today's most demanding directors.
Mark began his career as a systems programmer at the University of Southern California, rising to the position of director of research, development & systems and associate dean for information technology. His responsibilities included overseeing the operations of the university's more than 13,000 computers. |
