Mark has over 30 years experience in IT and is responsible for the evaluation and implementation of new technologies. He is also a core member of our development team. At DEC, he was the project lead for an operating system and an application group, Senior Architect for Compound Document Architecture, Technical Director for the Human Engineering group, and Technical Director and liaison to Microsoft for objects, distributed computing, and distributed objects. He also directed the international standards and external research efforts for compound documents and distributed objects. As the Chief Architect for Nextera Enterprises, he was responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and operations of their internal applications, infrastructure, systems and network as well as a Senior staff consultant. He has assembled and deployed large, distributed applications in finance, healthcare and distance learning. He is experienced in database, object-oriented, and network design; network and program security; internationalization; multiple development languages; performance measurement; application integration; and network and VPN operation. |
