Mark Bertelsen is a senior partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati the nation's premier legal adviser to technology and growth business enterprises worldwide. Bertelsen joined the firm in 1972 and has played a major role in their development and growth including acting as managing partner from 1990–1996. He has also served on the Executive Management Committee and Policy Committee of senior partners.
Bertelsen’s practice focuses on advising senior management and boards of directors on matters relating to corporate governance corporate finance and securities mergers and acquisitions strategic alliances and international transactions. For over 30 years Bertelsen has advised and counseled senior management of companies that have transformed their industry in computer hardware software telecommunications semiconductors new media and clean energy. Bertelsen also serves on the board of directors of Informatica a leading data integration software company.
Bertelsen received his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law University of California Berkeley and a BA in political science from the University of California Santa Barbara. Before joining his current practice he served as an armor officer in the U.S. Army. |
