Mark Barrenechea joined Rackable Systems as a board member in November 2006. Mr. Barrenechea is currently a director of Garnett & Helfrich Capital where he helps to expand investments into Europe and Asia. Prior to his current position, Mr. Barrenechea served as executive vice president and CTO for Computer Associates (NASDAQ: CA), Prior to CA, Mr. Barrenechea served as senior vice president of applications development at Oracle, managing a multi-thousand person global team. Earlier, he served as vice president of development at Scopus. Previously, at Tesseract he was responsible for reshaping the company's line of human capital management software as vice president of development. He also serves on the boards of Ingres and Overland Storage (NASDAQ: OVRL). Mr. Barrenechea holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Saint Michael's College. |
