Mark Appelbaum is a managing director in the Public Finance Investment Banking group at Piper Jaffray and head of the housing and real estate finance group. Under the housing and real-estate umbrella, Appelbaum is responsible for managing the group's efforts related to originating tax-exempt and taxable bond and loan issues for multi-family, affordable housing, senior living, project finance and commercial real estate lending.
Mr. Appelbaum joined Piper Jaffray in 1991 and prior to assuming his role as the group leader, he was a senior investment banker originating bond issues for private developers, non-profit agencies and governmental housing agencies involved in the production of affordable housing for family, elderly and assisted living projects. Appelbaum is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston University and graduated with honors from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). |
