Ahern - Senior Consultant, Director of Manager and Data Services Professional designationsIMC designation in the U.K. FSA Approved Person Current responsibility Mark is a senior consultant and director of Manager and Data Services (MDS) at Evaluation Associates. He joined the firm in October 2007 as head of MDS, a division of the firm that provides performance-based peer comparisons and analytical reports to investment management firms. Mark’s addition will allow the firm to grow MDS into an industry-leading service targeted to the investment management community. Mark also serves on Evaluation Associates’ Executive Committee and provides input into the strategic management of the firm. Experience Mark’s experience in the investment management industry covers almost 20 years both in his native U.S. and in Europe. Prior to joining Evaluation Associates, Mark was head of international and previously head of client service at Insight Investment, the asset manager of HBOS pls. He joined Insight from Lazard Asset Management where he was senior vice president, head of institutions (U.K.). During his time in London, Mark was a board member of AIMSE International. Before his move to the U.K. in 2002, he was a vice president at Wellington Management Company responsible for the firm’s Endowments, Foundations and Hospitals client service team. Other experience was gained during his role as a partner at Clay Finlay Inc. where he was involved in the firm’s sale to United Asset Management (UAM).Earlier in his career, Mark was a managing director at SEI and a managing director at Rogers, Casey & Associates, where he was head of international research and a founding leader of the firm’s business consultancy to leading money management firms (now known as Casey, Quirk & Associates). In addition, he was responsible for the creation, launch, and management of the Global Developing Market Fund, one of the industry’s first commingled multi-manager funds for investing in the world’s emerging markets.
