Mark W. Hiltz is a managing director and the chief risk officer for NCB. He oversees Special Assets which services all criticized loans, Loan Review which assesses loan portfolio credit quality and the adequacy of NCB’s loan loss allowance, and Internal Audit which conducts audits of the various operating entities.
Mr. Hiltz joined NCB in 1982, and has held roles as senior vice president of the Special Assets, vice president of Loan Administration and general auditor.
Before coming to NCB, Mr. Hiltz served as the general auditor of New Virginia Bank Corporation, assistant vice president and assistant general auditor of National Savings and Trust Company (now SunTrust Bank), and trust audit officer for First Union (now Wachovia).
He is a certified bank auditor, and holds an associate's degree in accounting from Northern Virginia Community College. Additionally, Mr. Hiltz majored in business at George Mason University, and is a graduate of the School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. |
