Mark Velten serves as Senior Vice President in the firm’s Short Hills, NJ office. Mr. Velten is presently responsible for client relationships, business development and project management for our Industrial and Consumer Products Executive Search Specialty Practices. Prior to joining DHR International, he was with Korn/Ferry International in New York City where he also held industrial and consumer products client relationship responsibilities. Throughout his 14 years experience in executive search, Mr. Velten has delivered high caliber human capital search solutions to multinational corporations, venture capital groups and privately-held companies. Mr. Velten has professional experience in supply chain management, sales, marketing, human resources and finance. He has particular industry expertise in the Consumer Products, Health and Nutrition, Chemicals and Third Party Manufacturing areas. Previous business experience includes 13 years of progressively increasing management responsibilities with Avon Products, Inc. During his tenure he held corporate and field assignments in Marketing and Operations including supply chain management, production and inventory control, manufacturing operations, transportation and strategic marketing. Throughout his career, Mr. Velten has been responsible for the development and implementation of best practice programs. Mr. Velten attended Kellogg School of Management Northwestern University Advanced Consulting Program, and is a graduate of St. Peters College in Jersey City, NJ where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He is a standing member of the Council of Logistics Management (CLM).
