Mark has a corporate and securities practice that focuses on a variety of transactional and governance matters. He represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and in venture capital and private equity transactions. Mark's mergers and acquisitions experience includes the purchase and sale of both public and private entities, the acquisition of organizations in financial distress and the use of Employee Stock Ownership Plans.
Mark also advises clients on corporate governance issues and counsels both private, public and non profit boards of directors on governance and other matters (ranging from Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to family business transactions). In addition, his practice regularly involves intellectual property issues such as trademark and technology ownership, protection and licensing.
Mark is also a frequent speaker and author on a variety of business and transaction topics. He is consistently recognized by his peers as a Texas Super Lawyer in corporate finance in Texas Monthly magazine and as one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions in D Magazine.
Mark is the Managing Partner of the Dallas office and is also a member of the newly formed Executive Committee for the firm.
