Mark R. Slane, a career restructuring professional, served a leading role in Goldin's major assignments in Adelphia Communications, Enron, Northwestern Corp., NRG Energy Inc., Loral Space & Communications Ltd., Tom’s Foods and Northshore Asset Management. Prior to joining Goldin, he headed the restructuring groups at The Bank of New York and UBS Warburg. At The Bank of New York (BNY) he oversaw the bank’s portfolio of problem domestic and international loan assets. While at BNY Mark developed and implemented programs to dispose of more than $1 billion of troubled or non-performing loans and was a member of the bank’s Corporate Credit Committee and International Credit Committee. He was Executive Director and Global Head of Impaired Loan Management for UBS Warburg. Earlier, Mark was a Senior Vice President at Integrated Resources and a Vice President at Carteret and Chemical Banks, where his responsibilities included acquisitions, providing advice on loans and conducting valuations. Mark played a key role in such other notable restructurings as PSINet Consulting Solutions, Arch Communications, Covanta Energy, AEI Resources, Farley Inc., Fine Air Services, Furniture Brands, Fruit of the Loom, Inc., Hedstrom Corporation, Montgomery Ward, Thermadyne Holdings, West Point Pepperel, Inc. and Venator (now Footlocker), among many others.
