Mark R. Anderson is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Chicago office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department.
Prior to joining McDermott, Mark was an associate with a law firm in Chicago where he focused on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, preparing patent validity and infringement opinions, patent litigation and client counseling.
Prior to law school he gained technical experience by working as a design engineer for a diesel engine manufacturing company. While there he designed and performed structural analysis of engine components for medium-duty diesel engines.
Mark earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. During law school, he served as recent developments editor for the Journal of Law, Technology and Policy.
Mark is a member of the State Bar of Illinois and is a registered patent attorney admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
