Mr. Tallmadge’s practice is concentrated in trial and appellate litigation involving insurance coverage, professional negligence, and bad faith issues. A noted authority in the area of insurance coverage litigation, Mr. Tallmadge focuses his practice in this area on environmental claims and representation of insurance guaranty associations where insurer insolvency is alleged. His professional negligence litigation practice focuses on the defense of legal malpractice claims. Mr. Tallmadge has been a featured speaker at the National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds and at the New Jersey State Bar Association on coverage and insurance solvency issues. He has also spoken before the Professional Liability Underwriting Society on legal malpractice issues. Mr. Tallmadge authored an article entitled Terrorism Risks: The Need for a Federal Reinsurance Backstop, which was published in the May 2002 issue of For the Defense. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Tallmadge clerked for the Honorable Clarkson Fisher, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the Morris County, the New Jersey State and American Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the New Jersey Defense Association, and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. |
