Mr. Bettilyon is the Chair of the Firm's Intellectual Property Law Section. His practice is devoted exclusively to litigation, primarily relating to patent, trademark and copyright disputes. Mr. Bettilyon's patent litigation experience involves medical devices, software, pharmaceuticals, electronic devices, and a variety of other products and services. Mr. Bettilyon has also successfully tried and otherwise resolved a wide variety of cases relating to piracy, false advertising, trade secret, breach of contract, antitrust, securities fraud, insurance, and business tort claims. Mr. Bettilyon frequently collaborates on litigation matters with intellectual property practitioners in other firms. He speaks fluent Spanish. Mr. Bettilyon has been named as one of The Best Lawyers in America in Intellectual Property Law, and has been voted by his peers throughout the state as one of Utah's "Legal Elite" in the category of Intellectual Property (as published in Utah Business Magazine).
