Description of Practice:
Mark J. Seifert is an associate in our San Francisco office whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. He has experience in matters involving business torts, intellectual property, directors' and officers' liability, antitrust claims, and employment disputes. Mr. Seifert's litigation experience includes trial work, a wide range of motion practice, arbitration, and settlement negotiations. He also has had experience with a number of federal appellate matters, including a case before the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Seifert is admitted to the State Bar of California, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California; the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Seifert is a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Mr. Seifert was a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins LLP. Mr. Seifert clerked for the Honorable Manuel Real of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the Honorable Melvin Brunetti of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Educational History:
Mr. Seifert received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his J.D. cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was a member of the Thurston Society and editor in chief of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review. |
