Mark Coulson Biography :

Mark Coulson is a trial lawyer who defends manufacturers nationally, regionally and locally in products liability matters, including fire cases and recreational product cases. Mr. Coulson manages nationally the defense of cases involving a variety of household products, including coffeemakers, toaster ovens, toasters and other appliances for a major manufacturer. He has been a consultant to manufacturers in the area of document and electronic data retention and spoliation issues. Mr. Coulson also defends health care and commercial clients in a variety of cases including professional malpractice (concentrating on alleged birth injuries), credentialing disputes, third-party payor disputes, class actions and contract disputes. Mr. Coulson has taken more than 20 complex jury trials to verdict. He also recently was the co-author of briefs in two successful Daubert challenges in wrongful death cases pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Booth v. Black & Decker, Inc., 166 F. Supp. 2d 215 [E.D. Pa. 2001]) and the United States District Court for the Western District of Ohio (Knotts v. Black & Decker, Inc., 204 F. Supp. 2d 1029 [W.D. Ohio 2002]) resulting in summary judgment in favor of Black & Decker.
