Mark Schmidt is a member of the Litigation Practice Group in the Milwaukee Office. Mark represents clients in a wide range of matters, including contractual disputes, real estate, insurance, covenants not to compete, administrative enforcement actions, and cases involving business fraud and unfair competition. Mark graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia. At George Mason, Mark served as Notes Editor of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal and was a member of the law school's Moot Court Board. He won first place in George Mason's Upper Class Moot Court Competition, and earned the award for best brief at the Federal Bar Association's Thurgood Marshall Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, DC. Mark completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in History. He also earned an M.A. in History from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining the firm, Mark served as Director of Programs for the National Taxpayers Union, located in Alexandria, Virginia. While in that position, Mark authored several policy papers on tax and fiscal issues, and his op-eds on those subjects were published by newspapers throughout the country.
