Mark Leland is executive vice president and chief financial officer of El Paso Corporation. In this role, Leland oversees all financial, treasury, and accounting functions for the corporation. His responsibilities include the development and application of accounting policy and procedure, management of the Tax department, the leadership and coordination of the organization's financial and operational accounting functions, transaction support, and internal and external financial reporting.
Prior to assuming his current responsibilities in August 2005, Leland served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Production and Non Regulated Operations for El Paso Corporation. In this role, Leland was responsible for financial, treasury, and accounting functions for El Paso’s non-regulated businesses, including Production, Global Networks, and Marketing & Trading.
Leland has also served as senior vice president and chief financial officer, vice president and controller, vice president of Finance and director of Business Development for El Paso Field Services. Leland also served as chief operating officer of GulfTerra Energy Partners, L.P., Leland began his career with the company at Burlington Northern, Inc. in the Corporate Audit department.
Leland graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Puget Sound. He is a certified management accountant and a certified internal auditor. |
