Mark Brookstein focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation. He has a broad background and significant experience handling complex matters, including issues involving corporate securities and fraud, labor and employment, professional malpractice. Additionally, he represents clients before arbitration and mediation authorities. Prior to joining Gould & Ratner, Mark was a litigation associate at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP in Chicago, where he was a member of the firm's litigation department. During law school, Mark clerked for the Honorable Arlander Keys, Presiding Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Additionally, he was a member of Law Review, serving as Notes & Comments Editor, and authoring two Law Review articles. Mark was recognized for his legal writing accumen, receiving a CALI award while at Chicago-Kent, as well as a high score on one of his Law Review articles which was submitted for a summer writing competition. He also served as a teaching assistant for Constitutional Law and Property Law classes. |
