Technical Director & Systems Administration - Mark Veinot joined LabMentors as Linux programmer and System & Network Administrator in September 2001. Before joining LabMentors he worked at the National Research Council in Halifax Nova Scotia where his duties included network maintenance programming and database management. At LabMentors he has been responsible for maintaining and upgrading the LabMentors infrastructure for their online lab environment. He has designed implemented several new systems for management and automation of the complex online lab platform. In addition he has created or helped to create a large amount of the labs available on the system and is primarily responsible for creating labs based on the Linux family of operating systems. He received his Bachelor of Computer Science from Acadia University in 2001 and Linux Professional Certification from SAIR Linux and GNU also in 2001. |
