Mark C. Hulbert is a partner in the Firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Transactional Department and member of the Real Estate Practice Group, the Restructuring and Workouts Practice Group, the Investment Funds Practice Group and the Hotels and Resorts Practice Group. Mr. Hulbert has represented clients in a broad cross-section of real estate projects - he has represented lenders and borrowers in loans ranging from under $1M to over $100M, landlords and tenants in leasing transactions involving retail, office, commercial and resort properties, and buyers and sellers in purchases and sales of office buildings, hotels, resorts, home developments and shopping centers. He has represented owners, developers and investors in all aspects of real estate joint ventures, ranging from the negotiation of the initial venture agreement through the acquisition, development and disposition of the assets. Mr. Hulbert joined the Firm in October 2005. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Hulbert practiced real estate law as an associate in Los Angeles with the law firms of Dewey Ballantine and Pircher, Nichols & Meeks and in Austin, Texas with the law firm of Drenner & Golden Stuart Wolff LLP. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hulbert taught philosophy for seven years, first as a graduate student and later as an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Arkansas, where he published several professional articles and gave presentations and papers at regional and national conferences. Mr. Hulbert is presently licensed to practice law in California (1997). |
