Mark C. Thickpenny is vice president and treasurer of Con-way Inc. (previously known as CNF Inc.) is a $4.2 billion transportation and logistics company with businesses in less-than-truckload motor carriage, truckload and brokerage services, logistics, warehousing, supply chain management and trailer manufacturing.
In this position, Mr. Thickpenny is responsible for corporate financing activities, worldwide treasury operations, risk management, taxation and pension investments, as well as related support for the company’s subsidiaries. He previously served as assistant treasurer, finance and planning.
Mr. Thickpenny joined CNF in 1995 as treasury manager. Prior to joining CNF, he was vice president and chief financial officer for the ninth largest credit union in California. Mr. Thickpenny previously worked for several public and private institutions focused on equipment and real estate leasing and lending.
Mr. Thickpenny is a native of Libertyville, IL and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame. He received his MBA degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Mr. Thickpenny is based at Con-way’s corporate headquarters in San Mateo, CA. |
