Mark Oman is senior executive vice president for Wells Fargo & Company a position he has held since August 2005. Today he oversees the following business units:
Wells Fargo Card Services A leading provider of consumer credit cards consumer and business debit cards prepaid cards and global remittance services.
Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Group/Corporate Trust Services A leading provider of home equity student and personal credit lending and fiduciary and agency services for public and private corporations government entities and the banking and securities industries.
Wells Fargo Financial A leading provide of real estate and auto secured consumer finance unsecured personal lines and commercial credit products.
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage A leading provider of residential mortgage lending and servicing.
Oman began his career in accounting at Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Des Moines. He joined Wells Fargo (then Norwest) in 1979 at Des Moines-based Wells Fargo Financial Inc. where he held a variety of management positions. In 1985 he joined Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and held a number of senior management positions until 1989 when he was named president and chief executive officer. Under his leadership the company grew into one of the largest mortgage banks in the nation serving all 50 states. In 1997 Oman was promoted to group executive vice president of Wells Fargo & Company with responsibility for multiple business units and in 2005 was promoted to senior executive vice president.
Oman has served on various professional and community boards panels and committees. He is a board member of the University of Northern Iowa Foundation and Greater Des Moines Community Foundation. Oman also serves as the chairman for the Greater Des Moines Partnership and is a member of the Iowa Business Council. Oman holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa Cedar Falls. |
