Mark Chapman is a partner in the New York office. Mark's practice focuses primarily on patent infringement litigation, but also includes opinions, licensing and transactions. Mark has experience with all phases of U.S. patent infringement litigation, including fact and expert discovery, Markman and motion practice, trial and appeal. Mark has also coordinated patent litigation and related proceedings in Europe and Canada. Mark's experience has involved a variety of technologies, including coronary stents, mass spectrometers, electrical connectors, computer software, optical fiber and dental products. Mark's technical background is in engineering physics.
Prior to joining Kenyon & Kenyon, Mark practiced corporate and securities law at a top New York law firm. Prior to that, Mark served as a law clerk to the Honourable Mr. Justice John C. Major of the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa. Mark also worked as an articling student at top corporate and intellectual property law firms in Toronto after graduating from McGill law school in Montreal. |
