Mark A. Handschy has served as Displaytech's Vice President and Chief Technology Officer since April 2004. Prior to becoming Chief Technology Officer, he served as the company's Vice President and Chief Scientist from June 1997 to April 2004 and as President from August 1993 to March 2002. He is one of Displaytech's founders and has directed research since the company's inception in 1984, developing the first LCOS devices and proving their potential as color microdisplays. Dr. Handschy received a Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Colorado in 1983, where, under the direction of Professor Noel Clark, he conducted some of the first experimental and theoretical studies of surface stabilized FLC electro-optic devices. |
