Mark A. Collins is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. As a member of the Trial Department, Mark focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage and toxic tort litigation. His experience also includes counseling clients on insurance negotiation, placement and claims, with a focus on directors and officers, general liability, accident and health, and financial insurance lines.
Mark also advises cedents and reinsurers on reinsurance matters, including the arbitration of reinsurance disputes. He is called upon frequently to analyze clients' rights and obligations under their reinsurance agreements, and to provide advice on reinsurance recovery issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Mark worked in private practice, where he litigated numerous insurance, environmental, toxic tort and asbestos litigation matters.
Mark is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and California.

Represent major professional sports league in the negotiation and administration of league-wide disability insurance program
Represented major insurer in coverage litigation over Love Canal environmental liabilities

Represented reinsurer in arbitration of dispute over health insurance liabilities
