Mario Rivas is president and chief executive officer of ANADIGICS Inc. A seasoned executive with 30 years in the semiconductor business he has spent much of his career in the wireless industry.
Prior to ANADIGICS he was the CEO of Quartics a fabless semiconductor and software company based in Irvine CA. Rivas also served as executive vice president of the computing products group at AMD where he was responsible for driving the development strategy and management for AMD’s broad portfolio of consumer and commercial microprocessor solutions.
Rivas managed the wireless communications business of Philips Semiconductor as well as its foundry operations purchasing and assembly and test. He spent the bulk of his career at Motorola Inc. with responsibilities in both semiconductor and wireless communications. He served as a director on the board of TSMC. Mario holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Central America in San Salvador. He also holds master’s degrees in semiconductor physics and business both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. |
