Dr. Bussel joined California Clinical Trials as Research Physician - Psychiatrist in 2006. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Central Asia Medical Institute in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where she subsequently completed her internship at the Institute’s Department of Pediatrics. After her internship, she served as Pediatrician at Tashkent State Hospital. Dr. Bussel then moved to Los Angeles, California where she continued post-graduate work. She held a Clerkship in Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was Resident in Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/Affiliated with the UCLA School of Medicine. She also held a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In New York, she held a Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia University/NYS Psychiatric Institute in New York. Her experience includes serving as Medical Coordinator, Evaluating Psychiatrist and Child Psychiatrist at various Los Angeles facilities. In New York, she was a Child Psychiatrist at Brooklyn’s Park Shop Behavior Group and then an Attending Psychiatrist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Returning to Los Angeles, she became a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Aviva Family and Children’s Services and a Child and Adolescent/General Adult Psychiatrist at Gateways Hospital. She then joined California Clinical Trials. Dr. Bussel has physician licensure in both California and New York and is a member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has several psychiatry presentations to her credit as well as honors including a Psychiatry Resident Award of Excellence and a Scholarship for Academic Excellence. |
