Marilyn Tyfting was appointed Vice President, Human Resources for Rogers Wireless Inc. on July 11, 2005. In this capacity, Ms. Tyfting is responsible for the implementation of human resources initiatives within Rogers Wireless Inc. in support of the overall business objectives of the Company, and in alignment with the overall strategy of the Rogers Communications Group. Ms. Tyfting will participate as a member of the Wireless leadership team and work to balance the interests of employees with the needs of the business.
Ms. Tyfting first joined Rogers Cable in September 1997 in the B.C. Region. In 2000, she became the HR Director for Rogers AT&T Wireless in Western Canada and, in 2002, she relocated to Toronto where she provided HR Support to both Western and Ontario Regions, and all National functions. Most recently, she held the position of Director, Human Resources, Rogers Cable Communications Inc.
Ms. Tyfting has over 10 years of progressive Human Resources and Labour Relations experience. Prior to joining Rogers, she worked for BC Transit and the University of British Columbia.
Ms. Tyfting holds a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Human Resources, and an MBA, both from the University of British Columbia.
Ms. Tyfting is based at Rogers Wireless executive offices in Toronto, Ontario.
