Dr Jamora is the Medical Director of the Family Center, a department of Kennedy Krieger that offers clinic, home, school, and community based continuum of mental health and support services, within the division of Psychiatry. The Family Center specializes in children impacted by trauma, neglect, and drug exposure, and have been placed out of home. It offers evaluation,early identification, prevention, and treatment
services, by a team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social workers, Speech therapists, Occupational therapy, PRP specialists, and Case managers. The children seen often present with Developmental delays, Dysregulation, Learning Disorders, ADHD symptoms, PTSD symptoms, Attachment difficulties, and Mood Disorders.
Dr. Jamora is also an instructor of Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is Board certified in Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Jamora obtained her Medical degree from the University of the Philippines. She did her Pediatric training at the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn New York, and at the Children's Memorial Hospital/Evanston Hospital Program in Chicago, Illinoios. She completed her Child Psychiatry Residency at The Child Guidance Clinic of Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and her Adult Psychiatry Residency at the Institute of Psychiatry of Northwestern Universitiy in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Jamora has had extensive clinical experience in private practice in Chicago, Illinois while maintaining a faculty position at Northwestern University, and serving as a Chief Psychiatrist at Northwest Mental Health, Center, a Mental Health Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prior to coming to Kennedy Krieger, she held the positions of Medical Director at 2 outpatient clinics, an Adult Day Program, and a Children's Day Program at the Sheppard Pratt Health Systems.
