Marie is responsible for the direction and management of all Certiport activities in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Marie has held national and international-level directorships for a number of years, and was upgraded to "Fellow" status with the Institute of Directors in London in 2005. Prior to Certiport, Marie spent five years at Microsoft; four years as Education Group Manager for Skills in the UK, responsible for strategy and policy around the National Skills Agenda and the National Qualification Framework; and one year as Government Affairs Specialist, responsible for Education, Skills, Accessibility and Research & Development, based at Microsoft's Law & Corporate Affairs Offices in Brussels. As Senior Director at the National Council for Vocational Qualifications, Marie held an international role, responsible for implementing competency-based qualifications in several countries, based on UK National Occupational Standards. Marie has extensive experience in EMEA, having worked for two years throughout central Europe as the Chair of the Transnational Vocational Education Committee representing the original 15 member states. |
