Marie Z. Ziegler is Vice President, Investor Relations of Deere & Company. She was appointed to this position in May 2001. Ziegler is the primary contact with institutional investors and sell side analysts. She is responsible for assembling and disseminating the corporate message.
Ziegler joined Deere & Company in 1978 as a consolidation accountant and has held management positions in finance, treasury operations, strategic planning and investor and banking relations. Most recently, she served as Director of Investor Relations for the company.
A native of Moline, Illinois, Ziegler is a 1978 graduate of St. Ambrose University, with a bachelor of arts in accounting. She received her CPA in 1979, and an MBA from the University of Iowa in 1985.
Ziegler is on the board of the Girl Scouts of the Mississippi Valley, Inc., Two Rivers YMCA (Moline, Illinois), and the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend (Davenport, Iowa). She is a member of The University of Iowa's College of Business Board of Visitors. Ziegler is also a member of the Unified Growth Strategy Committee of the Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce. She served on the board of the United Way of the Quad Cities, chairing its 2003 Quad Cities United Way Campaign. Ziegler is a past member of the board of Trinity Regional Health System and Trinity Medical Center, and a past member of the Deere & Company Credit Union board. She also is past treasurer of fundraising for Playcrafters Barn Theatre, Moline.
