Before founding 21st Century Health & Benefits, Ms. Maloney served as Executive Vice President of Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In that capacity, she developed the Blue Cross Plan's first Medical Management function and its enhanced on-line transaction processing capacity. Ms. Maloney was raised in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing, London Ontario, (R.N. 1971) and John Carroll University, University Heights, Ohio (B.A. 1974). Prior to her career at Independence Blue Cross, she practiced nursing at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Following her nursing career, she was Associate Executive Director of the Delaware Professional Services Review Organization in Wilmington, Delaware, which developed, implemented and managed physician peer review programs for Medicare. |
