Janet Steinwedel, Ph.D., provides thought leadership as a consultant and executive coach with The Leader’s Edge. She assists leaders in clarifying their goals and objectives and becoming more aware of themselves and their behaviors in service to their aspirations. With over 20 years of experience working in industries including pharmaceutical, financial services, communications, retail, and entertainment, Janet works effectively with a broad range of leaders. Most recently, she has focused on issues of cross-cultural working, and developing agility and resilience for success in today’s marketplace. In her last corporate role as the leader and developer of a Global Coaching Program for the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, Janet developed a best practice, as noted by the Conference Board Executive Coaching Council (of which she was a member for 2 years), including developing a thorough process for vetting external coaches for which she interviewed over 70 executive coaches; creating a process for calculating ROI; and designing handbooks for internal and external coaches. Janet has held significant leadership roles including Senior Director of Leadership and Business Effectiveness at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, where she led the Leadership, Organizational Development and Diversity groups; Assistant Vice President of Leadership and Organization Development at Delaware Investments; and Director of The 5th Avenue Club at Saks Fifth Avenue.Janet earned her doctorate in Human and Organizational systems and is a regular speaker on Leadership and Executive Coaching topics. She is active as a board member at her church and leading the visioning process and Education Committee. She is a 20 year member of the Philadelphia Human Resources Planning Group where she has held various leadership roles and is a member of the Philadelphia Regional Organization Development Network. |
