Mariana S. Perez-Cordero is an Associate in the Environmental and Land Use Law Practice Group.
Practice and Experience
Mrs. Perez-Cordero main areas of practice include work related to enforcement, cost recovery, regulatory compliance, land use and permitting-related matters. In addition, she provides counseling regarding federal and state environmental statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience
Before joining McConnell Valdes, Mrs. Perez-Cordero worked as a judicial clerk for Hon. Francisco Rebollo-Lopez, Associate Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court. Previously, she worked as a judicial clerk for Hon. Zaddette Bajandas-Velez and Hon. Nestor Aponte-Hernandez, Judges of the Puerto Rico Appellate Court. While completing her Juris Doctor, Mrs. Perez-Cordero served as an editor of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review, and as a law clerk in the Federal Litigation Division of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice.
Education
In 2001, Mrs. Perez-Cordero obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Sciences, from the University of Puerto Rico, Magna Cum Laude. In 2004, she obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico, Magna Cum Laude.
