Marian Weilert Sauvey joined Atlas in 1993 as Vice President of Law and Secretary. A year later, she assumed the same positions for the newly formed Atlas World Group. In 1997, Sauvey was designated as General Counsel and in 2005 she was named Senior Vice President.
In her current role, Sauvey is responsible for all legal matters involving the corporation and its subsidiaries. In addition, she has senior management responsibility for the Human Resources, Training and Customer Service departments, and oversees Atlas World-Class Travel, Inc.
Sauvey is admitted to practice law in the states of Missouri, Wisconsin and Indiana, and is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association, the Transportation Lawyers Association, the Conference of Freight Counsel, the Canadian Transport Lawyers Association and the American Moving and Storage Association Legal Advisory Counsel.
A native of Roeland Park, Kan., Sauvey graduated summa cum laude from Rockhurst College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Later, she graduated with highest distinction from the University of Missouri with a Juris Doctor degree. Prior to joining Atlas, Sauvey was an associate and partner with the law firm of Smith, Gill, Fisher & Butts, Inc. and corporate counsel for Schneider National, Inc. |
