Maria Nadelstumph has worked in the senior care industry for over 13 years with a main focus on quality of life programs through dementia care and recreation services in both skilled nursing and assisted living. Maria joined the Brandywine team in 1999, developing two key signature programs for the company, Reflections (memory care program) and Arts & Entertainment (senior recreation program). She now manages both programs and also oversees our company education initiatives and culture as the Vice President of Organizational Development and Program Excellence. In 1999, Maria developed Brandywine’s specialized dementia program, Reflections, focusing on program design, standards, protocols, branding and assisted with the start up of four new AL communities in NJ and PA. She is also credited with the design and implementation of a dementia day program in a PA community as a revenue generating strategy. Over the years, Maria participated in business development strategies for the previous skilled nursing division by facilitating large- scale systems changes for the overall development and implementation of specialized dementia care programs/units in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Currently, Maria spearheads the implementation of all aspects of the Reflections program within new acquisition properties, manages unit conversion projects, and develops new initiatives to increase quality services and marketability of existing dementia programs.In addition to dementia care, Maria manages all program directors and continues to develop and launch Signature Programs within our Arts & Entertainment program across the company to enhance marketability, resident participation and to exceed industry trends for senior wellness and recreation. With a focus on company culture, Maria develops and manages the company wide training and education program, called Brandywine University. Maria ensures that Brandywine University, a multi-level learning initiative, is aligned with core business strategies from integration, company culture, leadership training, customer service and quality services. This forum is the company’s chief vehicle for spreading our culture throughout the organization and further developing our workforce. Her education consists of a Master’s of Arts degree in Organizational Development from Fielding University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Recreation Therapy and Gerontology from York College of Pennsylvania. In addition, she is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified Assisted Living Administrator and Certified Consultant for Recreation Services.
