Maria Morgan was appointed president of Small Planet Foods, the company's organic division, in September 2003. In June 2006, she was promoted to full division president status.
Maria began her career in Big G Cereals with various marketing assignments on child, adult and all family brands. She held marketing roles in Baking, Yoplait and Meals, prior to being promoted to marketing director in the Snacks Division in 1996.
She returned to Big G in 1998 and was named a vice president of General Mills in 1999. She moved cross-functionally to Sales in 2002, where she led a sales region during the integration of Pillsbury.
Maria graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from Wellesley College with a double major in history and political science. She obtained her MBA from Harvard University in 1990. She serves on the board of the Science Museum of Minnesota. |
