Maria P. Kunac, President and Chief Lending Officer
Maria Kunac is a resident of La Jolla, California and is the President and Chief Lending Officer of Embarcadero Bank, as well as a director.
Ms. Kunac has had over 32 years of banking experience in San Diego County. She has a diverse banking background with special emphasis on real estate lending. Her real estate lending expertise includes loan originations, collections, servicing, administration and policy development. She worked with Mr. Rippe while at First National Bank.
Ms. Kunac was most recently the Chief Lending Officer at Imperial Capital Bank, La Jolla, California. While at ICB her primary responsibility were to meet the Bank’s loan National origination and production goals, which were in excess of one billion dollars.
Prior to joining Imperial Capital Bank, Ms. Kunac was Executive Vice President and Manager of the Real Estate Loan Division for First National Bank of San Diego, where she worked from 1995 to 2004. Primary emphasis was placed on growing the portfolio while maintaining good credit quality. Previous assignments with the Bank included Deputy Chief Credit Officer and Special Asset Manager (Bank of Southern California-acquired by First National).
