Maria Xirau joined Metcare in 1996 as a part of its first Primary Care acquisition. She has 15 years experience in managed care and over 25 years experience in healthcare. Throughout her 25 year career, she has worked on both sides of the spectrum which has allowed her to become successful in developing, implementing and executing operational initiatives. Her accomplishments include converting offices from deficit performance levels to lucrative profit entities. Ms. Xi rau has been affiliated with Humana Health Plans, Inc. in various capacities throughout her managed care career. She is very involved with the community and a strong patient advocate while serving on numerous committees and healthcare affiliations such as the Red Cross and Seniors and Friends . Mrs. Xirau graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia broadening her Health Care interest. |
