Although she’s originally from Manila, Mari grew up in the Midwest. Mari came to CU after attending the University of Texas where she studied biological sciences. She started at CU in 1992, and is currently the Office Manager of the Southwest Office. Says Mari about working at CU, I love being part of an organization whose work helps improve the lives of people, and she feels privileged to work with such dedicated individuals who are so passionate about their work. Everyday my coworkers inspire me.
Outside the office, Mari enjoys being a very active parent, volunteering at her children’s schools and staying involved in their extra-curricular activities. She also teaches at her church, is a storyteller at the neighborhood library, and attempts to keep up with all of her husband’s projects on their 1897 very vintage house. Favorite pastimes include cooking, traveling, reading, learning foreign languages, and gathering with family and friends.
